(A guest post from Kenneth Waterhouse)
I buy a lot of mealworms at the pet store to keep up with the never ending demand for them at home. Almost every pet I keep seems to really enjoy their daily meal worm treat. Unfortunately for me that ends up costing almost one hundred dollars per visit. That's a lot of money in worms. So the other day I decided to get online using my hughes internet New York connection that I recently decided to purchase. I realized that I could be spending a lot less money on buying meal worms if I would just start ordering them online. So, I took a few hours and did some research to figure out which company had the best reputation for delivering the worms alive and in timely manner. Now, the most I pay is roughly around thirty dollars. And that buys me a couple thousand worms at a time. The nice thing about buying such large numbers of meal worms at a time on the hughesnetinternet is that I have enough to set aside a few for breeding purposes. I figure if I can get my own colony started I won't have to spend any money on pet food aside from the cost to feed my own colony. Well, that and to periodically add a few so that I can replenish my stock as some of the older ones die off.
