Importance of Data Backup

Accidental data loss has a huge impact on a company especially those who rely on the accuracy and availability of their data on their day to day operations and transactions. Incidents such file corruption caused by virus infection, fire or theft can cause loss of essential company data. This is why it is important to back up your data regularly. Data loss can cause not only a decline in a company’s sales and profit but also customer confidence. Customers may be apprehensive about trusting their confidential information to a company who cannot ensure the security of their data, whatever place one is staying, whenever, wherever.

Because of these reasons, companies and individuals conduct steps to back up their data regularly. Manual back ups are done by those who choose the conventional way. But for those who have larger files that need regular back up, an online backup is a better alternative. Online backup is more convenient and is fully automated; your data are backed up daily or on the frequency that you have chosen. Email notifications are sent to provide a comprehensive report on relevant changes after every backup. Information on data backup can be accessed whenever they want through the use of a password. An individual will be confident that his data will be kept safe and secured even if his own computer or hard drive that contains all his important data are suddenly corrupted.

RC Toy Vehicles

Toys are the solution of bored individuals. Make it a hobby as well. Collection too. Not only kids (but of course mostly they do) play and fond of remote or radio controlled toy vehicles like rc trucks electric but teenagers and adult does. It's not bad after all. It is an entertainment for them. A fun entertainment in racing on a race track or even in the floor, at home, or just anywhere of a safe place to play. Ah, it's a family/kids bonding stuff. It's great being kids again!

Canon Inkjet Printers...

I have a canon inkjet 6-in-1 printer. I use it for several purposes but one thing I cannot do which my husband really like to have attach to it is the fax machine connection. Yes, it can be use for fax purposes but there's no good way to bring the telephone line to attach to it because my table is located across our kitchen and there's no way my computer table will be placed near the telephone line. Maybe, it could be possible in the new apartment we rented but we kind of being sour to have it already. Speaking of a canon inkjet printer, yes, it does need a canon ink cartridges for such printer to function. The cartridge brand should have to coincide the printer brand. That's just how it is. And yes, I do use such. And it's already several cartridges I consume because I print pictures too, not for myself but for family circles afar. And it's doing great. I just don't want the cartridges emptied because that's one cause the printer got busted just like my husband's hp printer. He just trash the thing too bad just because the cartridges got empty for long. So far, I didn't encounter problems with my printer, thanks goodness!

DH Uses GPS

GPS (or Global Positioning System) technology really help drivers for the direction. One just have to input the address and wait for the signal and command of the technology to direct what direction a driver has to follow in order to get to the place of interest. Or when being lost as thinking a driver already knows such road. Now that is convenience compared to looking up on the map, the traditional way, isn't it?  Yes, it is for me.  I do not know about you but you can feel and see the difference. Well, that's one power of technology and invention which I completely nod with.

Like any other driver, my Dear Husband has his GPS as well and it is Garmin GPS. I do not know how he ended buying up such brand but I know he uses his sense and his power of being savvy buyer. And surely, it really does its role. We love it! Though DH still has his traditional way of getting into the place, reading map that is, but he uses GPS most of the time when he is not familiar of the road of getting there. This technology impresses me (and of course on him too). And I could never be happier having it. It provide convenience and makes our trip simpler.

A Store's Tool

Any grocery and department stores, malls, even bakeries have barcode scanner for its easy and smooth transaction purposes. What one a cashier could do if this stuff is not present, jotting down to computer from a rows of numbers in papers? Imagine the scenario. :-) That is a slow motion of work or the store should have a lot employees, maybe there is someone who is in-charge of looking up unto such prize other than a cashier. Whatever it is, we view barcode scanner as essential in any medium and big commercial shops.

Industrial Tools

As time and days goes on, we cannot deny that we become independent with computer for an easy transaction. We just have to know the "ins" and "outs" of this technology so we know how to work it out when there is something wrong or better yet to put it in computer repair shop. Talking about easy looking out, the web brings out industrial tools like abrasives to look and see then if one likes it, goes to checkout. Usually, it is crowded going outside as in field stores. If a person knows already what he/she is buying of, then he/she likes to transact it via online. Ooh what a technology can offer!

Antenna Reminiscing

I can just remember about putting-up the television antenna which my husband did. It looked like an old school but then that is fine. And  thenI put it off for like how many months I came here. Though I like antennas but I guess I am not into it for television. That is because televisions here in USA uses already DVR, cable and nowadays and some other stuffs which correspond to it. But then there are still selling and hopefully a good deal about it.

Door Knobs And Door Locks Are Essential

Why doors are important? It is because it is the gateway to our homey home. It should have a durable and can be trusted door locks so unwanted or bad guys won't get in. Or worse if they would like to do bad things to you, aright, that is why they are called as bad guys. What will you do then if such bad guys would like to get in aside from calling 911? See if you have the needed door lucks, it would be great and less hassles to have what it need to have. Okay, sometimes it could be that hard but I would stick to what I think, have a durable needed stuffs!

I Got My Medical Yearly Physical Check-up Yesterday

I have my yearly physical medical check-up. That includes everything like weight, blood pressure, urine test (excluding height check and ear check as there's some apparatus put on an ear as just like before, I don't know what is that for) physical including pap smear and breast cancer detection just physical as mammogram is not yet advisable, thanks goodness. :-) As ever, my medical doctor/ob-gyne is great.I came late for minutes and she came late too, haha! Oops.. kidding aside. Before she came unto her clinic room, I walked and saw other doctors clinic rooms and their medical carts are awesome. The place is neat and clean too. I love my doctor (Dra. Anita Mercado) because she keeps me at ease. She's from my birth country (not racist, ok!), she is great. We even talk our primary language, I can hardly utter sometimes as I am already used with our second language but not bad as we understand well, we laugh too. :) Major point for that yearly physical exam is for birth control pills as it requires doctor's permission. Yes, I had my year supply and I just get it automatic every a week before 28th day of the month, without calling them because I enrolled to CVS pharmacy automatic refill. The pharmacy asked and I was glad they told me that I could do it that way. The pharmacy even calls me whenever it is ready and DH could even get it without me. Okay back to doctor's signature or how do you call that term (thinking)? You have it in your mind. I just forgot the term, sorry about it. Then had my blood test after the medical talk and a little chitchat. I observed, I was afraid of needles unlike before, why oh why? Err! But everything's well, DH got me and went home with bandage on my right middle arm from blood test. Will get back next Friday for the result. The doctor said no need for paying as I will just get my blood test result.

The Comfort of Home Heater and Technology

One thing I like being here in United States is we have hot and cold water. Hot and cold water not in terms of gallons but anywhere in the house, meaning it is present whenever we shower, washes our dishes and clothes or just anything we want. There is always that two choices in the sink. When I was in college, I lived in a middle class close family to whom I am very thankful for until now or forever (because the couple treated me more than I could ever ask) but when we want to use hot or cold water, we have to deal some ways and means or boiled up so we could have it. When its summer time too, we have A/C or should we like we could only use the fan. Then winter time comes when weather is uncontrollably cold, home heaters are to the rescue. I could say those are some of the comfort I haven't experienced or had before where I live back in my birth country. Ooh the wonder of technology, isn't that great? It comforts and make our life comfortable in any ways. To make the story short, there's a big difference being a middle class here and back on my birth country. The similarity is we have always the "will" to do what we like and want to do (but of course we have to respect the higher rank and file, whoever is the higher). Don't you agree? And so, God bless and all the best!

Computer's Perk and Struggle

Having a computer is such an overwhelming feeling. It has its perk as well as struggle on its journey as its name define. Aright, it brings a lot of perks. It makes our work easier and it offers a speedy information with just a click of one's computer mouse. But hey, if a computer's memory is overload, then a struggle arises. It struggles how to get a fast connection when in fact (after seeing a low virtual memory message ) it is just the memory is the problem which needs to tend to as soon as possible. One must have to buy memory to increase its speed or computer owner/user will be shuck with such slow memory capacity. Hence, the work cannot be completed. Isn't that a bad day having such scenario? Ooh well. :( Just get the best one which suits one's need. I wish you all the best. :-)

Newly Married Carrie Underwood To Perform In Nashville

(Thanks to Roman May)

American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, will grace us with her presence on July 27th at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. This will be one of her first performances since she got married on July 10,2010 to Mike Fisher. The tickets are a late Birthday present to me from my boyfriend. I just can not wait to see Carrie Underwood as she has become such an inspiration to me. Buying tickets with CLEARwire 4g internet could not have been so easy and secure. With Carrie being still so hot and in demand, I was glad that there was no standing in long lines in the blistering heat or the freezing cold. By using the seating chart of the Ryman Auditorium, we were able to see just where we were going to be sitting before agreeing to the purchase, unlike if I had went through Ticketmaster. I received a printout that we will take with us to the concert just as if we had stood in line and received tickets. The best part is, should I loose the printout, then I can always make another printout.

Santa Monica

(Guest post written by Arnoldo Acevedo)

Yesterday was a wonderful day, I finally decided I need a vacation. Yes, you read right, I'm finally going to take a vacation. I found a beautiful little Bed and Breakfast Santa Monica, it's been so much fun looking at the pictures I've found online. I've also found so many great deals online, it's been hard choosing which I think is the best one. Between having to find a place to stay, the flight, a rental car, and activities to do while I'm there, it's been a real adventure! Have I mentioned how much I absolutely love my new wireless satellite internet. It's made the search for everything so much faster and easier than it would've been with my old internet connections, I haven't had to wait for internet pages with huge amounts of information or pictures on them to load, they load almost instantly, it seems much more fun, easier, and personal than going to a travel agent! I can't wait to get out of the city and onto the beaches, I kind of regret not doing it sooner, however I don't think I would've appreciated it as much! Watch out Santa Monica, here I come!!

Currently Waiting for Our Apartment-Rented Unit Inspector

A note arrived two days ago as pursuant to California Civil Code Section 154 which owner hereby give notice to all the tenants and all persons in occupancy of the premises located here in the apartment complex that California owner, owner's agent or owner's employees will enter to our premises to have the units inspected.

So here I am waiting. Ah! It is supposed to arrive sometime from now until five o'clock Pacific Daylight Time(5 p.m. PDT). Time check for now is three o'clock and 54 minutes (3:54 p.m.) One thing I do not like is waiting, waiting and waiting! Ooh well, it is mostly but great to have something I like to do to consume my precious time. My supposed-to-be plan is ruined (not really) because of the waiting. Ooh well my time management could be a minus too. I did not think my slight cleaning lasted three hours of seriously, meticulously quickly done. So I can have my shower before our rented-apartment inspector will come. I cannot concentrate on what to do because something is missing. Yes, I was not able to take a shower though I had my half bathe but that is not that enough in my end. I vacuum a lot of areas, if not whole floors (including windows and sheets) gosh! I feel the hotness now, I need to refresh myself. Err! :( For the mean time, I am waiting of that inspector to come in so all will be done and can my things to be done smoothly without interruption. I do not want to be caught in shower when they arrive at our door! Hey inspector, I hope you can read this! Ha! By this time I still cannot think how my floor chores done without this yellow small vacuum thing. It makes my work simpler and quickly done.

I would like to give credits to vacuum inventor (and also my DH for buying this small one so I can vacuum without his help, our big one seemed too heavy to me of doing a vacuum for an hour -- so now it is junked but oops it is for DH use. Ha!) for making my work light and uncomplicated. I am exhausted and tired but so happy seeing our humble abode clean, in order and fresh. ;-) By this time, he/she/they not here yet, the inspector/s that is. :( Whatever!

Weekly friend lunch dates

(Guest post written by Faye Church)

I have always heavily relied on my friends and that hasn’t changed over the years. Each Thursday my four best friends and I meet for lunch at a restaurant and catch up on each others’ lives. But now that we’re all retired, we can stay longer for coffee and more extended conversation instead of scurrying back to work. Last week though I noticed that we were making a little more noise than we normally do, which can be quite a bit anyway because we get excited and so caught up in our conversations. The other patrons were staring as if we were being rude, although we didn’t mean to be! As we were leaving I mentioned it to one of the girls, Betty, and she said that it may be because we were all starting to feel the effects of hearing loss even though we may not know it.I thought this may be the case and didn’t think a whole lot about it until I started researching. I’m still not set on whether I’m going to get one or not but plan on talking it over with the girls this week.

Mealworms Are A Lot Cheaper Online

(A guest post from Kenneth Waterhouse)

I buy a lot of mealworms at the pet store to keep up with the never ending demand for them at home. Almost every pet I keep seems to really enjoy their daily meal worm treat. Unfortunately for me that ends up costing almost one hundred dollars per visit. That's a lot of money in worms. So the other day I decided to get online using my hughes internet New York connection that I recently decided to purchase. I realized that I could be spending a lot less money on buying meal worms if I would just start ordering them online. So, I took a few hours and did some research to figure out which company had the best reputation for delivering the worms alive and in timely manner. Now, the most I pay is roughly around thirty dollars. And that buys me a couple thousand worms at a time. The nice thing about buying such large numbers of meal worms at a time on the hughesnetinternet is that I have enough to set aside a few for breeding purposes. I figure if I can get my own colony started I won't have to spend any money on pet food aside from the cost to feed my own colony. Well, that and to periodically add a few so that I can replenish my stock as some of the older ones die off.

Chasing An Ipod

Weeks ago, I was publicly blatant how I would like to have an ipod not really for me but for my dear husband when we will be going to our vacation in my home country. Also for just if he like to hear some music in our home. He does not need to buy any CD to record stuffs but just to download, done and he can hear it right away. I feel like he need it for that moment when we will travel for sixteen hours or so not to mention that he do not know my first language. Ooh well, he want to know how to speak and pronounce but I know he cannot make it as impulsive as that. Oops, he do not like fancy stuffs, he just said he only like mp3 to which it won't cost that much but I was and still currently chasing ipods to what will I buy for him (I can also use it anyway *wink*)

I do not have yet an idea what generation and gigabytes or stuffs like that to what is good for him (or for us) hoping it is not that expensive. Do you have any idea? Could you give me some hint to what is good from your side? Ooh well, thanks in advance. ;-)

Comfort Room Septic Tank Problem?

Anywhere you go, whatever place you are, there comes a time in a day that you need a comfort room --- to have a comfort whenever you have "bodily errand/s". With that a toilet is a must. When we have a toilet or perhaps an aquarium or whatever that comes with a septic tank, that also means that we are aware that there comes a time that it needs a maintenance, thus, a septic tank cleaner should have to possess a desirable job. Talking about it, it should have to coincide with what is affordable yet provides great service of whatever stuff is it or else, you could shell a big amount of bucks from your pocket. Yep, quality comes first especially when it comes to a need of our place -- our household, our workplace, stores, restaurants, and the like, agree? ;-) I hope you got a great one for that maintenance. Have fun! :)
