Basic Horse Care

Looking after a horse can be time consuming and also expensive. Whilst there is not much you can do about how much of your time it takes up, short of hiring staff to look after them, you can keep costs down by searching for best prices both online and in stores. Many online sites have online tack shops that sell most the necessary pieces of equipment needed. Online stores often offer free delivery if you spend over certain amounts and given how large a lot of horse equipment is, for example horse rugs will easily take up the boot of your car, having a lot of items delivered will work out much easier for you. A lot of online stores offer a whole range of items including horse feeds so if you shop carefully you can buy all your items online at once.

Items that you will need to get include:

A head collar, without one of these you will not be able to lead your horse about and move them from field to stable. You will also need a lead rope to attach to the head collar and to use if you tie the horse in a yard for when you are grooming.

A bridle, saddle and saddle blanket is needed for riding a horse. You will also require a hard hat, riding boots and appropriate protective clothes.

You will need warm and waterproof rugs for different seasons. The type of rug you get depends on the environment that your horse is in. It is important to ensure that the rug is the correct size and Viovet has a handy measuring guide you can use to ensure you fit your horse correctly.

To keep your horse looking nice you will need a grooming kit containing a hoof pick, appropriate brushes for both the horses coat and mane and a brush to remove mud.

You will also need a feed bin and water container. If your horse is a bit kicky it is worth putting the water bucket in a tyre which you can weight down or nail into the ground for stability.

If you are in a shared stable you might have access to wheelbarrow, spade, pitch fork and broom but if not you will need these items for mucking out the stable and clearing the fields.
Ensure you get a good quality food and any necessary supplements that your horse might need. Keep them up to date with worm treatment as well.

Caring a Dog

A popular tag of a dog is man's best friend, a companion. Amongst any animal, most close to man is dog, don't you agree? Whether you agree or not, it was being proven for most animals. For some reason, other country does not treat dogs as USA treats. Here, dogs are special like any other animals but again, dogs has more special treatment. It is pretty a big deal here once a person/family cares a dog. As they said, it is just like as caring a child. Dogs (of course with its owner(s) has to attend dog training or its different dog training techniques. It is some kind of expensive but for me, it is worth it in the long run. When dog is properly trained, owner can expects good returns like loyalty, respect and even love, don't you agree? :-)

Dog Pet

My paternal sister and brothers love dogs. They like to take good care of them. I can tell they would also love to pamper dogs by giving them dog beds and other luxury dog stuffs. For me, that is the least I will buy, ooh well, I am not that a dog-lover but I am not dog-hater either. It is just that for me, people deserves more attention than dogs. Aright, if folks cannot be controlled, it is better to have dogs! Hahaha! Okay, that is a bit of metaphor and a somewhat like close to fact. Aww.. hehehe! The trick is, once a person have a pet, he/she must be responsible for it or better to give it to others interested and can afford their needs or some wants. :-)

ABC Wednesday --- K

K is for....
KITTEN

Yep, it is time for ABC Wednesday, a letter K brain digging folks.. :) Today my K highlight is KITTEN.

I have here my little story about KITTEN which has several letter K too. Here it is:

Our cute little KITTEN was being kissed by our KITTEN little KEEPER, KYLE. A KID like her is so KIND that after she was being KISSED by our cute little KITTEN, she went to the KITCHEN to get a couple of vitamin K foods which is good for a kitten as well as for mama KITTY too.

So that's it goes, a short rhyming story about a Kitty's KITTEN. By the way, I also like to have a cat in the house aside from being a companion as for the rat purposes. :) So then, have a great Wednesday everyone! :) ~hugs&kisses~

When It Comes to Horse...

I always think of being an equestrian when it comes to horse. Whenever I heard an animal hobby that comes first on my mind. Mikee Cojuangco, a well-known actress from my home country Philippines, is very good at this. She even won a couple of times in racing and she was the one I looked up into. Oops I am not an equestrian, the ride that I even rode unto the back of the horse can even only counted my fingers.Such hobby is not not cheap, it is expensive and only have sponsors, money, and skills would try to have this. I cannot imagine the prices of the riding breeches, shoes, coats, helmets, and all that apparels that are needed in order to get into action. For me, I could it is just perhaps a dream to become an equestrian for the thought of such stuffs. Though, it is expensive or somewhat like that, of course there are still many equestrian wants to have for the need of the game. It is for happiness. Good luck to the horse riders, equestrian, and all!

The Squirrel

squirrel

Yep, that's the squirrel. It's a family of monkey (I guess.. seeing how it crowls and looks like). It could be like a tarsier but this is bigger than the latter and besides tarsier has big eyes. You could also see its differences through its tails. Seems like squirrels also has a rabbit-like eyes, face, and ears.

Squirrels eat peanuts and I don't what it eats other than that. What I know is it climbs up to the bushes and crawls down the street sometimes. The picture above was way back two years ago at the park near the place where I live now (CA). I haven't seen this in the Philippines(my country home) that's why the first time I saw it (down the road going to climb the tree) with my friend, I was really scared. It crawls fast. Actually, I was scared at it and the squirrel as well scared at me! Funny but truly, I was really scared that time. Glad that I have my friend with me or else, I don't know.. perhaps I will run fast. lol. This must be confession 101 but to the point that I am not scared of this creature now.. it's not anymore.. :-) What about you, what was your moment with a creature first time you saw?
