Look Beyond the Label

Do you have a favorite place to shop? When you shop, do you have time to read the label? I guess, we should not overlook this very important note on each product to avoid allergens. Natural and organic labels are everywhere on personal care products, from face cleaners to face masks and everything in between. But the labels may not tell the whole story. Products that are used in natural skin care usually include botanical extracts and essential oils, but that doesn’t mean all the ingredients are natural.

Products that are labeled as hypoallergenic may still cause allergic reactions. Labels such as hypoallergenic and allergy tested are up to the manufacturer’s discretion and don’t have to meet specific regulatory criteria. It’s up to consumers to determine what’s really hypoallergenic. Finding the perfect products may take trial and error. If you have a particular concern, such as reddish or very sensitive skin, go to the doctor or dermatologist though most of the time this information is available on the Websites, providing recommendations based on skin type. But you know, it is still best to consult your dermatologist if you have doubt on it.

And so, have a great day everyone! Thanks for dropping-by, come back often. :)
