Water Purifier

Image below is a water purifier in our new place. Yes, it is placed in our faucet. To tell you, this is my first time to use this in our home though I always saw and use it in other places. DH and I are just simple persons. He, uses an "old-school" philosophy while I am on the middle of modern and old-school. With that, it also affects on drinking water in the faucet. Like the old days, there was no water purifier, people drank water from faucet or even in the streams. Yes, we are already in the modern world but that does not mean water in the faucet is not drinkable. And so that was what we did. Not until this time, I bought a water purifier. Just to be safe for a child. I am carrying a baby and baby is sensitive, prone to anything. So I decided to get one. And so here it is:

So far, it does great. I am not a cold-drinker person. I prefer natural one. So I always drink water from this stuff. Sometimes if I feel want to have some cold, I just mix cold water from refrigerator unto my drink.

I just have to turn the nozzle on the right side to get a filtered water. It turns green when its filter is great, good enough to filter water. When it turns red, it need to change the filter. So far, it isn't yet red. I guess it will last longer because DH seldom drinks water, he drinks juice. I only use filtered water when drinking, otherwise I won't turn the nozzle down if it's only for cooking rice and such.

Summer House Floor

Folks do like to change house floors by season especially summer. I can sense they do like it this season because it don't have snows, rain or stuffs like that. They do like to have a wood tiles, yes floor change just like the pergo flooring in any place/corner of the house. Not bad! What's your floor looks-like? Is it carpeted or tiles (glass, wood)? Whatever it is, laminated floors is awesome, isn't it? A happy and cool home then. :-)

First Day of Sleeping

In the new apartment we moved-in, we first stayed there in the 24th of June. I did not realized that was a day of Saint John the Baptist. Yes, it is the day of commemorating the person/saint who baptized Jesus and the people who became Christian Catholic. But then St. John the Baptist commemoration isn't that much here in US of A unlike there in my birth country, Philippines, especially if you live near the beach or lake. Anyway, just reminiscing my first day of sleeping on our new apartment abode. :-) As I always said I love it better than our old one. I had some do-it-yourself cleaning done just like cleaning the tiles grout in the bathroom floor and in the kitchen both on the ground/floor and the main kitchen base down to the in-sink. I made it on the third time. Yep, I cleaned it twice but it the stain did not removed. Thankfully, my friend's husband thru her (Te Claudia) advised me to use comet cleansing powder with scrubs. I used scotch brite and a little hard brush (not toothbrush, better than toothbrush) then scrubbed to the max. It was quiet tedious but I made it. I cannot stand the tiles and in-sink hard stains especially the paint/design is light. I was working my but off for about five days arranging, cleaning and a slight moving/lifting. I had a great exercise! Yey! Now am a bit relax of cleaning thing. The first night by the way is awesome!

Moving theFurnitures This Weekend

You may not know that we are moving from apartment to another. The good thing is it is not far from the place we are right now. Actually it is just two or three blocks away, of the same city (of course). *wink* Later on, I'll be going to pack-up my computer as well as my DH. Then dismantle my table and chair. The Internet will be cut-off and transfer to the new place, only the cable will be left. The electric current was turned-on two days ago so no problem when it comes to light and other stuffs connected. The Internet will be connected tomorrow at 1:00-3:00 pm. I hope I can connect to it directly so we won't be disconnected for long. :-) I am excited to live in our new abode. Good luck for the arrangements and some other packings for me and my husband. :-) The furniture will be lift-up by some men contacted.

An Organized HomeMaker

We all know that a homemaker, a housewife or a housekeeper is just only one yet it varies on its spelling. Oops! Synonyms, that is. Ha! Mostly a homemaker does the job of document keeping along with all the house arrangements. After all, that's her job, a very nice job. An organized one. When it comes to document management, I can say document management software does a good for this too. It comes in handy. I mean it can make the job done properly and makes it easy. Sometimes, we just like to do the easy thing. Well, why not, why bother to do it the long process and sometimes, it won't be accurate, right? It's just a person's choice actually and one just have to check and see it for his/herself. Only him/herself can do the decision. Have a great and fun document-keeping folks! All the best!

Family Home Entertainment

We (my husband and I) will be three soon in our home (apartment-rented home) as I have a baby-in-my-tummy. Soon enough too, we will be moving to a new apartment or a small house to which we will live in the first floor. I am not comfortable living in a second-story or any floors but on the first (or at least for our temporary home before moving in to our very own). In that way, I can easily go out with stroller without any hassle or any help from neighbor, or alike, during hubby's working hours. So new environment and a home plus additional one needs a good entertainment hub. Though I cannot say we do not have a good entertainment currently (we have two TV, one for him and one for me but more on we bond together on the bigger one which is in the bedroom) but it is great to have a better flat panel tv stands like the two below, to which the first one is for our bigger TV to put in our living room with the entertainment stuffs like DVD and its tapes, DVR, CD's, etc. I can even put electronic picture frames on it and some little decors to beautify and also the DVD speakers on the sides or above the entertainment media center, then the remote hub just on one of the shelves so it is just in one place or furniture stuffs.

(I was given a right to use these images. Thanks to Sean from CSN Stores)

The wall mount which is on the right is perfect is perfect for our traditional TV which is no problem regarding its performance and cable channels or we can buy other wall mount perfect for its type if DH wanted it changed into a flat one to which is great for our bedroom or baby's room. I can't wait to move into another apartment home or our home of our own to settle down for a family of three.

Beautiful Lighting!

Decorations, lighting and other stuffs in the house brings beauty, aren't they? It brings good ambiance. Good temperature and a very good family environment. It just have to made sure such stuffs coordinate each other. Just like its colors, all of them should blend each other or else, instead of it brings good ambiance, it will then bring trashes in the eyes and mind of the people living, eh? Believe me or not, it is great to have such coordination. Lighting like Kichler lighting, is just one of those but of course one can never go wrong with of such chandelier (as image above), what you think? Does it come to your taste? For me, I so love such. And if only we have our own house already. Hehehe! Who knows, one day. Whew! Good luck to me. ;-)

My Ruby Tuesday: Ice Cream Scope and Cars Lights

How are you everyone? It is Tuesday once again. What one of those I love on this day is a lot of red posts especially the participants of Ruby Tuesday. It is also some kind of customary of posting pictures with red colors. Now, let us share some rubies! And below is my share:

A red handle ice cream scope and the cars back red lights.

I am one of those folks who love ice cream even if the weather is cold. Okay, I may never eat when I feel cold. But hello, am inside the house and I feel the comfort of the heater so no way, I feel cold. Ha! Okay, that is wrong, I can feel cold inside the house but not mostly. Meaning, I also craved cold foods even cold weather and ice cream is just one of those. And I so love the ice cream scope as a help instead of just spoon of getting such on its container.

And so, happy Tuesday! Have more rubies! ;-)

New Year, New Entertainment?

Now that is new year already, I bet your home has some new stuffs. Maybe new home entertainment too, like  home theater system? That would be awesome. If have not yet shop from Christmas bonuses and should have to wait for another paycheck for it is not yet enough? Then worry not because stores are just waiting for us. Hehehe! Oops, I have no plan yet to buy one but if that time comes, I would love to have it.  Usually the "can-afford" ones or those who have budget have a new year, new entertainment! What a fun!

Using Coupons to Save

I love coupons, everybody does, don't you? ;-) It is really great when shopping with something we can also have it less. Yes, coupons does wonders. Even if sometimes it is just cents or pennies but when we count it all the way much after checking out, we can see the difference. Am a frugal yet a savvy shopper, so am so in favor of using coupons. What about you? Whatever it is, I just wish you all the best and can get what you wanted to get!

The Comfort of Home Heater and Technology

One thing I like being here in United States is we have hot and cold water. Hot and cold water not in terms of gallons but anywhere in the house, meaning it is present whenever we shower, washes our dishes and clothes or just anything we want. There is always that two choices in the sink. When I was in college, I lived in a middle class close family to whom I am very thankful for until now or forever (because the couple treated me more than I could ever ask) but when we want to use hot or cold water, we have to deal some ways and means or boiled up so we could have it. When its summer time too, we have A/C or should we like we could only use the fan. Then winter time comes when weather is uncontrollably cold, home heaters are to the rescue. I could say those are some of the comfort I haven't experienced or had before where I live back in my birth country. Ooh the wonder of technology, isn't that great? It comforts and make our life comfortable in any ways. To make the story short, there's a big difference being a middle class here and back on my birth country. The similarity is we have always the "will" to do what we like and want to do (but of course we have to respect the higher rank and file, whoever is the higher). Don't you agree? And so, God bless and all the best!

Currently Waiting for Our Apartment-Rented Unit Inspector

A note arrived two days ago as pursuant to California Civil Code Section 154 which owner hereby give notice to all the tenants and all persons in occupancy of the premises located here in the apartment complex that California owner, owner's agent or owner's employees will enter to our premises to have the units inspected.

So here I am waiting. Ah! It is supposed to arrive sometime from now until five o'clock Pacific Daylight Time(5 p.m. PDT). Time check for now is three o'clock and 54 minutes (3:54 p.m.) One thing I do not like is waiting, waiting and waiting! Ooh well, it is mostly but great to have something I like to do to consume my precious time. My supposed-to-be plan is ruined (not really) because of the waiting. Ooh well my time management could be a minus too. I did not think my slight cleaning lasted three hours of seriously, meticulously quickly done. So I can have my shower before our rented-apartment inspector will come. I cannot concentrate on what to do because something is missing. Yes, I was not able to take a shower though I had my half bathe but that is not that enough in my end. I vacuum a lot of areas, if not whole floors (including windows and sheets) gosh! I feel the hotness now, I need to refresh myself. Err! :( For the mean time, I am waiting of that inspector to come in so all will be done and can my things to be done smoothly without interruption. I do not want to be caught in shower when they arrive at our door! Hey inspector, I hope you can read this! Ha! By this time I still cannot think how my floor chores done without this yellow small vacuum thing. It makes my work simpler and quickly done.

I would like to give credits to vacuum inventor (and also my DH for buying this small one so I can vacuum without his help, our big one seemed too heavy to me of doing a vacuum for an hour -- so now it is junked but oops it is for DH use. Ha!) for making my work light and uncomplicated. I am exhausted and tired but so happy seeing our humble abode clean, in order and fresh. ;-) By this time, he/she/they not here yet, the inspector/s that is. :( Whatever!

Monday, how is it folks? For me this day is not complete if I don't have an entry for Mellow Yellow Monday. :-) I don't know but I got used to it and I would got loss of what day is the next day or yesterday, again, if haven't got my entry. ;-) Even planning of charging my digicam or charge full my phone so in time if there's some yellows, I won't be disappoint myself to point and click unto it. Either indoor or outdoor as long as there is yellow into it, I am on-the-go! Ha! Seems like my happiness is just too small but that's what I am sometimes. Chasing flowers, yellow stuffs, not-so-funny jokes... just to get my mood on. Isn't that cool? Is your mood like that? Sometimes just too good to be true? Hemmm.. ;-)

Yellow flowers of an image below are not that yellow of this pic because of the sunlight outside, my camera didn't do a justice of the yellow flowers. Though I said that I informed you already about it, still it's great to disclose.. :)

in a yellow covered pot

It comes with a direction how I should take good care of it and I love what I knew. This plant lives longer on me than my other yesterdays plants. I live it! And on daylight, I always put it in my window so sunlight would hit up what is good for it. And an instruction said that it should have to remain a little bit moist and put in a place which it could catch a sunlight. So that's what I did and again, I am happy of the result :)

You can view pictures in big sizes by clicking it. So then, have a happy Mellow Yellow Monday folks! Have fun yellow hunting... ;-)

Pretty Ceramic Vases

Some of you knew that my new hobby is bidding of items in listia which I find valuable and great ones. I find it a cool way of letting my time passed with sense aside from my fix hobby which is sharing what I have in mind (randomly), blogging. For now (about a month in such site), I have now seventy-five items won and about or more than ten thousand XP. Well, I cannot describe fully what is XP but you can have its definition if you go or become a member of such site. A little description is that it's a status of signing-in and browsing or if you buy credits, you can have more XP should you like to buy credits but that is not necessary. It is all free, you give in your still good items and in return you can have them if you have enough credits and if you like something, you can buy credits impromptu. If you will be outbidded, you can have your credits back or your money back as long as it is not used yet. Ooh well so much about it, one of the cool items I got are two pretty pink or a dash of pink vases and one candy holder (as I call it, am not sure what is its name ;-). Together with it (one auction owner), I got a vintage frame of very good condition looks new just as the vases and such. I paid shipping of five bucks altogether yet the cost of all is five dollars and ninety-nine cents plus ten dollars and ninety-nine cents equals to sixteen dollars and ninety-eight cents, whatta cool, right? And not only that it's just of small credits of five and something for two. Whooaah! I love it so much as it comes in great condition!

a pair of pretty pink flower vases set with candy holder set (as I call it)
Isn't it cute? ;-)

And it goes along in my rectangle living room center table. ;-) I just love it so much! Diary, keep it in memory... :)

My Ruby Tuesday #13: Red Flowers and Beyond

When I think of Tuesday, what comes on my mind next is ruby... ahh Ruby Tuesday! Time for ruby hunting folks.. how was that? ;-) When it comes to flowers, red can't be beaten.. it's just so beautiful when there is red! Though I do not know the name of the spring flowers below, still I took a phone shot because it is so lovely. I was doing my brisk walking at our neighborhood at the same time went on to shopping centers just looking for something, oops! I was just having a window shopping and chasing reds with these flowers, okay? ;-)

This was a left side garden of a pathway of one of apartment complex in the block. Yeah, reds. ;-) Do you know what is its name?

Yep, a mini-tree of mini-roses in our rented apartment complex ground. It was planted by the way in a fountain aquarium which eventually the landlord turned it into a garden as in instead of placing water and fish on it, they place soil and plants.. whatta garden! ;-) This was by the way taken last year's Christmas time (2009) which unfortunately the roses are beginning to fell down already. Ooh well, it is still red! Ha ha ha! ;-) Those were so pretty before it turned like that because all flowers were in full bloom and attached with each other, seems like a bouquet.. ooh well... :)
And another red pa-cute entry above which apparently inside the red roses. I was doing my thing in my cellphone when suddenly I bumped into artsy stuffs feature and I did an above image. Isn't that cute moi in a hearty-heart red flowers? LOL.. just having fun folks.. So then, have a great Ruby Tuesday! Have fun hunting rubies.. ;-)

Comfort Room Septic Tank Problem?

Anywhere you go, whatever place you are, there comes a time in a day that you need a comfort room --- to have a comfort whenever you have "bodily errand/s". With that a toilet is a must. When we have a toilet or perhaps an aquarium or whatever that comes with a septic tank, that also means that we are aware that there comes a time that it needs a maintenance, thus, a septic tank cleaner should have to possess a desirable job. Talking about it, it should have to coincide with what is affordable yet provides great service of whatever stuff is it or else, you could shell a big amount of bucks from your pocket. Yep, quality comes first especially when it comes to a need of our place -- our household, our workplace, stores, restaurants, and the like, agree? ;-) I hope you got a great one for that maintenance. Have fun! :)

Wristech Blood Pressure Monitor

How do you like to try "hi-tech" stuff to monitor your health? Are you in favor of just use the classic one? You are one of those old school folks which just uses an old school or classic stuffs?

Mind you my husband admit and told me that he is one of those old school folks. Well, it is not necessary that point to old people, there are also young folks who just prefer to use classic and traditional stuffs. Yep, classic stuffs doesn't only apply to old folks just a name and again, young folks too uses it.

One year plus ago, DH has this wristech blood pressure monitor and am the one who get his blood pressure in the house. Yes, it is a high-tech one and he loves it. It is pretty great because it just uses two triple A batteries (2 AAA) and when you study diligently how to use then you are good to go, and that is what I did. Sometimes just get his diastolic and systolic pressures as well as pulse for heart beat. Then it is your choice if you want to put in its memory or just put the result in a paper. It get accurate results just like a traditional one. It is pretty easy and comfy when I get used to it.
