Beat the Heat!

I think most places as of this season of the year, is having a summer cycle. When it is summer, we can expect sunshine, heat and hot. What could we expect aside from those mentioned? Well, its solution. Ha!

Okay, how to beat the heat? There are actually a lot of solutions but it only start and end of one thing, coolness. How to have a cool temperature. How to be of the heat that won't burn us.

Hemmm.. any solution? For me, drinking cold water, using air conditioning, going to the falls and get wet/swimming, eat good foods which are not that warm (let us not forget to warm all the foods we gotta eat but make sure, we won't be consuming soup all the time, eh). Desserts like maja blanca, sweetened taro root or any cool desserts would do. Do not forget cool fruits, is great to beat the heat. Ooh yeah, ice cream, did I ice cream? He! ;-) If you could get what I am trying to say. Yep, I think of ice cream this time. Mmmm.. :-) The thing is, we have to beat the heat to be hydrated all the time. Remember, dehydration cause a lot of trouble in our body. So, beat the heat!

Energy Efficient Heating and Cooling System

A huge percentage of a household’s monthly expenses go to the utility bills. If we want to make our heating and cooling system to be more energy efficient and save money at the same time, we need to know how to properly maintain them. Aside from making sure that we have a heating and cooling system that is suitable to the needs of our home, we need to know how each one works. We can ask the company who has installed our system to teach us how to make minor repairs and how we can make sure that they are functioning as they should. We need a fast and dependable service in times we need it just like for instance, an air conditioning problem. Scorching heat of the sun this summer season gives us its undesirable heat, thus great repair man/company is what we need in times of such.

Regular cleaning and knowing how to determine which parts need to be replaced are important as well. We have to make sure that we purchase authentic replacement parts to ensure that they will function properly. Using low quality parts may only cause more damage to our systems and this may present more complicated problems for us. We need to look for a reliable retailer that can provide us with authentic parts. This includes knowing how to clean and replace air filters. We should also schedule professional maintenance check so that our heating, cooling and plumbing systems are always in excellent condition.

Being an Abroad

People think that living abroad away from third world country is perfect! They always think that a person is so lucky, can have immediate money and can buy whatever they want too! But just in my thoughts, I just hope that families with an abroad or OFW member should think that OFW’s are working night and day to find money. To support their families back home, you do not know how hard they saved money for the sake of others. The adjustments of living in other countries is totally difficult, the adjustments of language, culture etc is really hard. So if your parents is OFW, take care of them. Show that you are not wasting their money. Show that it is not good that they are forever be an OFW. You must not demand in whatever likes you want to buy. Make sure to find ways to budget and earn on your own. Do not be dependent to others. If you are yound fresh, use your time to serve and work for your own.

This is just thought from me. I am not an OFW but I know how hard being away from country home or family most especially that OFW's work thousands of miles away.

Stylish Home Décor

You know a gracious home when you see one – perhaps it was on a charity house tour or maybe you were looking at sample homes; it’s fun to see how other people decorate, especially if the homes you are looking at are similar to your own. Perhaps the homes have exceptionally chic window treatments and bedding or especially stylish and well-appointed bathrooms. It can be very inspiring to look at different homes and take away design and decoration ideas you can use in your own home in any place you live. Perhaps your won bathroom is rather mundane and you’d like to step it up a bit. While new medicine and vanity cabinets or a new commode may not be in the budget there are still many ways to make any bathroom more stylish. Look for bathroom hardware such as drawer pulls, handles and knobs which can transform a vanity in minutes. You may even find a line which offers coordinating towel bars, robe hooks and even shower curtain looks; when you outfit the entire room with coordinated hardware it takes on a much more stylish and professional look. The same holds true with bath accessories – by using matching or coordinating lotion dispensers, soap, dishes, tissue holders and so on you can really tie the room together. If the bathroom is small and you would like to make it seem larger than it really is, stick to solid colors and add mirrors wherever possible. The light reflected from the mirrors will make the room look and feel roomier plus mirrors help to make grooming easier since you can see yourself fro many different angles.

What Do You Do This Summer?

Summer is the best season hanging out with family, friends, office mates and love ones. I say so, that is because of its good weather condition. Because summer time seems to be hot, usually folks spend their summer in beautiful beaches or in swimming pools. And some also go to different places just to visit different beautiful scenic spots.

But what do you do during this summer vacation? One friend of mine  visited her high school friends. She shared (and yes, with her permission) that  it’s been a long time since they didn’t met each other, and she's so happy seeing them yesterday because some of them finally have their own family and kids. What about you?

Me? I already visited Santa Monica Beach (and even swam in there) with my cousin and friend some days ago to start my summer with. Sneaking-in my little time just for stressing-free myself as they said. Aren't they cool? Smile. :-)

Who Manages Your Home?

Since I am a mom of one cute little baby named Sam, I am the one who is responsible at home. My husband works and must give him care every day by making his food especially dinner time. I make sure to cook his favorites one. Sometimes, I failed to buy food in the store so he volunteered to do so, well by buying out foods in the drive-thru. He is a loving , kind husband I may say. He knows how to make a balance in many ways. I do the cleaning of course and washing, to add telling you about my chores. Wink. A multi-task of being a mom, wife and a best friend. This is my role . I am completely a woman. I am proud that I am the one who manage our abode and of course with the help of my dearest husband. Financially my partner supports perfectly. For our kid's need and for mine as well. I am a lucky wife. How about you there, who manages your home?

Tips in Selling Your Jewelry

When people are face with an emergency situation even in any place you are, where they need to raise a big amount of money such as paying for an emergency medical procedure, most would just resort to selling their personal belongings such as their jewelry. There are those who would think that it is better than borrowing money because they may not be able to pay it back including the interest.

If you are one of those who are thinking of, "where to sell my jewelry?” then you may want to make as much research about selling jewelry to know what your options are. You don’t want to get taken advantaged of those who look for sellers who have no idea of the real market value of their jewelry. Having receipts and other documentations that will prove the value of your jewelry will be of big help. You will at least have an idea of how much your jewelry is worth. If you personally know a jewelry appraiser, you can consult with him so that you can get an honest assessment of the value of your jewelry. It is also important that you ensure the legitimacy of your potential buyer so that you are assured that you will not get scammed.

Condolence to my Friend C

I know how hard to have lost a mother especially if she meant the world to you. To my friend C, it's not her whole world that her mother meant to her but the place on her heart is like second or maybe in the first place (see how important her mother on her). Mother's love is different from any other love so I cannot compare that much, exactly as much as I like to, but a mother is different.

So this post is for a condolence to her. I know how hard she feels now especially they haven't seen each other for how many years and even on her last days. She really long to go home where her birth-home is. But then, it is already late since her mother's soul is not here in this world anymore (you know what I mean). I and our other friends can feel her sadness.

This is a condolence post for her. I hope all will be well despite. She has to be strong.

Reputable St. George Car Dealership

Finding a reputable car dealership in any place especially if you are in Utah, does not have to be difficult. You may be overwhelmed with the vast number of car dealerships in your area but if you keep in mind a few key points, you will be able to find the nest car dealership for you in no time. Purchasing a car is a major investment and for most people, saving up for a car may mean saving up for months. It is only natural that they want to make sure that the money they have worked hard for will go into a car that they can use for a long time and one that can provide them the convenience and comfort that they are looking for.

Car Dealerships St. George Utah should be reputable and are known to provide a high level of service to their clients. You can check online for reviews and consumer reports so that you will have an idea of how experts in their industry and other consumers rate the different car dealerships in your area. Some Findlay Cars in St. George car dealerships offer additional services aside from just selling new or pre-owned vehicles. They give assistance to clients who may want to apply for car loans. They also have service departments that offer different services such as basic car checkup and maintenance. One of the things that you have to consider in choosing a car dealership is the efficiency of their service department. They should have qualified and certified technicians that have the skills and knowledge needed to ensure that your vehicle gets high quality service. Whether you are looking to purchase a new car or a pre-owned one, it is important that you know exactly every essential detail about the vehicle that you will be purchasing. The vehicle that you buy is something that you yourself will be using which is why it is important that your satisfaction and comfort should be prioritized.

Having a Stress-Free Wedding Preparation

Your wedding could be the most anticipated day in your life. But for your dream wedding to happen, all the necessary preparations have to be made. Wedding preparations can be such a stressful process which is why you need to be able to get all the help you can get. If you decide to personally take care of all the preparations, you have to at least have other people to assist you. It is extremely important that you have a list of everything that needs to be done. A list can help you stay organized and focused on the tasks that need to be attended to. It also helps you prioritize the things that need to be done first. Having a list also helps you monitor all your expenses and stay within your budget.

A lot of ideas and information are available on the internet that can help engaged couples decide on the different aspects of the wedding. There are various online stores that offer all the different products and services that are needed in a wedding. They can order customized wedding invitations, hire a photographer, a band and a caterer online. They can just browse through different websites and choose the products they like and which kind of services they want to avail of. They can even look for a suitable wedding and reception online. Your list may be revamped from time to time as you make some adjustments but as long as you make sure that every important aspects of your wedding are attended to, you will avoid getting overly stressed about the wedding. In that way, your plan will be put in a good place. You and your partner will be happy as well as your parents, friends, sponsors and everyone  who will attend will be happy too! How is that? What could be better than that!  Advance happy wedding then! Yey!

Happy Saturday!

It is officially Saturday here in Pacific Daylight Time, yes, here in United States of A since it is now just passed 12 midnight but before one o'clock yet though. After this (or in the midst) I have to give my precious daughter  her midnight medicine. As she just drink her milk two hours ago, it doesn't then she needs milk. It could either be later at one o'clock in the morning or two, the maximum would three o'clock in the morning to give it to her. Ooh well, I like to sleep now, I am so sleepy. So I have to park now and give my preciousness her medicine and hopefully I could hit the hay.

Alright, since it is already first day of weekend. Allow me to greet you a "Have a Great Happy Saturday!". What have you plan for this day? Whatever it is, enjoy responsibly. ~hugs&kisses~

Insect on Plants

Around in our front apartment, there's these green plants that occupy near our windows. Even though we have screen in our windows, it still can crawl going inside if I open the glass window. I don't like it (who does?) because I once had an allery in my skin before, much more to an infant. I really like opening our front two windows but I just cannot. It's better this way than being in pain and having skin rashes out of it. It's really a "grrr!" because it's nice to have fresh air even if we're just inside. But to it, not possible! I gonna find ways to have a safe and fresh home (specially that it's already spring, summer is approaching, hot weather is coming)! What could be the work of a homemaker anyway!

Have a great one!

Choosing the Right Insurance Provider

Having to choose between so many insurance plans can be overwhelming in whatever place you are here in United States of A. To be able to choose the most suitable health care plan for you and your family, you need to remember few things. Find out the financial stability of the insurance company. You also need to check if they have the proper licenses needed to make them eligible to offer insurance plans. It would also help if you read reviews and feedback from consumers to find out which insurance companies are able to provide the best service to their clients.

Family Insurance providers have websites that you can browse through and from there you can get all the information you need about the various insurance plans that they have for you. Insurance Quotes can be requested from their websites. You will be able to determine which insurance company can provide you with the policy that you need at the most affordable price. Cheap Life Insurance that provides the coverage that you need can be acquired if you know how to look for them. Good luck and all the best to your family as well as yourself (of course).

It Is Best To Be Secured

Part of being a good mother in any place or anywhere in the world we are, is to plan to be around longer, probably since our little one need us, so we can be sure that we can provide each of her every need and also to bear witness to her successful future life. If we could, we would probably opt to be immortal just so we can see our child through every phase of her life, guiding her every step of the way. Unfortunately, there is no way we can do that, but it is enough consolation that we can bank on reliable insurance plan to keep us covered as long as we live and to leave our child in good hands long after we are gone.

Setting a portion of our hard-earned money aside to pay for this insurance is one sure way of securing our child/children’s future and making sure that they succeed in whatever chosen career or field he/she/they like to take, and it might just be the best investment we can get to secure our future.

How about you, what do you think?

Moving All the Way Here

 (Author: Jonathan Suarez)

When I moved here the first thing I did was get high speed internet so I could stay in touch with my sister. I was worried she wouldn’t be okay without me there but as it turns out she should have been worried about me! I was a mess without her the first few months here but I’m starting to really find my footing – it turns out it’s a lot harder being without my family than I thought it would be and I just wish they were here with me now! I leaned on them more than I realized I did but you know, that’s how it works when you grow up around all your family. I wish I had known to prepare myself for independence better but there’s no way to plan for it, really. Sometimes you just have to get out and do something on your own and that’s what my move here was all about – I just wish I knew what it was going to be like when I was out there on my own!

Abandoned Blog?

Looks like! Yes, looks-like this blog is abandoned but that's just about it since it isn't much. Ha! Well, sometimes a blog also needs some break, LOL (Laugh Out Laughing)! At this time, in my throne (yes,  in my chair in front of my lappy-toppy (laptop)/ in my place, I am with my precious little one on my left hand. You guess it right, am one-hand typing. Yes, five (5) fingers use only instead of ten in typing just to finish this post. Ha ha! Just so you wouldn't say I already abandoned this blog. *wink* Alright, it is really great of going back on what I am passionate about aside from what I love doing most at this time which is taking care of my one and only precious (literally and emotionally) baby love, my Sam.

Now, 'til next time huh! I really like sharing to my family and friends, and of course to you. Regards... ~hugs&kisses~

It's Another Day!

Another day had gone! I still can remember I was in the store and I bought a shoes for me! I got it on sale. Luckily I did not find hard time to find my shoe size this time! As I always struggle finding the right size for me. Window shopping is my addiction when I got time! To relieve stress too. So, I decided to visit my favorite shoe store (that time) and there they have lots of sale and promos. Lucky day for me! The shoes costed 10 USD what a good buy! I can use it everyday in summer time. I bought one for my my husband too. Oh my speaking of Christmas I need to save money for that. Time for gifts giving. Last Christmas we did, my husband and I decided to give presents to ourselves. And we have our little angel so it's already three of us. :-) So it is time to save as early as now!

Well, are you ready for Christmas? I am excited actually. This is our first Christmas in this little place we have, with our Baby Sam too. So by GOD's grace will be celebrating our Christmas day with our dear angel baby. I am looking forward for that.

Halloween is On The Way!

Halloween is just around the corner and once again and the kids will be invited to a Halloween party a classmate’s house and are in dire need of something scary or creative to wear that I bet moms will be very busy looking for costumes for their little ones, who are also scheduled to join this year’s Trick or Treat at school or in the village. Moms might be spending their time browsing online catalogue shops or thumbing though their parenting magazine subscriptions in search for an inspiration (just like a mom friend of mine did the other day). They might even be the creative type and are sewing the day away as they excitedly count down for the big day to come! Whatever costumes you might come up with, or might end up purchasing, just make sure the little ones will be comfortable enough to go around in it so they can enjoy the occasion as much as they can.
