Excited?

Two days to go and I will be in a plane going to my birth country visiting my "used-to-be" place. I cannot wait to go swimming with my folks, the places, foods and all that I wanted to do, seeing the good o'le relatives (okay, including the not-so-good too. hahaha!). Oops, I did not mean anything, okay? Just having fun and maybe a bit excited already. Excited, did I mention excited? To tell you, yes am a bit excited now but I have to calm down and never to be but just make it as close to ordinary and focus on what to do and safety. So, in short I am not that so excited. ;-) I just wish you good day and hopefully you will still visit this homey home of mine here in the e-world. My DH cannot come but he let me, that is so nice of him. I would like to get this chance to thank him and that he appreciates  of what have to be appreciated. He has pile of work to and that he just have to manage it. He will just then get some hours in some days that he would like to be home early or has something to do, that is how he uses his leave in work. How nice and smart of him. I love him dearly and am showing it. He is not a showy type but a silent one. Meaning, you may have not seen he cares and loves me, but I do see it that is why he got me. Hehehe! Love you honey.. Back to the excited portion, yes am a bit excited. Not with the travel but to what it has planned. Happy, happy!

The Comfort of Home Heater and Technology

One thing I like being here in United States is we have hot and cold water. Hot and cold water not in terms of gallons but anywhere in the house, meaning it is present whenever we shower, washes our dishes and clothes or just anything we want. There is always that two choices in the sink. When I was in college, I lived in a middle class close family to whom I am very thankful for until now or forever (because the couple treated me more than I could ever ask) but when we want to use hot or cold water, we have to deal some ways and means or boiled up so we could have it. When its summer time too, we have A/C or should we like we could only use the fan. Then winter time comes when weather is uncontrollably cold, home heaters are to the rescue. I could say those are some of the comfort I haven't experienced or had before where I live back in my birth country. Ooh the wonder of technology, isn't that great? It comforts and make our life comfortable in any ways. To make the story short, there's a big difference being a middle class here and back on my birth country. The similarity is we have always the "will" to do what we like and want to do (but of course we have to respect the higher rank and file, whoever is the higher). Don't you agree? And so, God bless and all the best!

My FFI (Friday Fill-Ins) #53

I just would not have to say "time flies fast" as most (if not everyone) will say it. Aright, that is just the trend if we are busy. We just have to understand and accept that fact. Ha! The FFI image for this week is quiet very inviting. Seems like I am invited to splurge in that beautiful wave huh!

Happy Labor Day weekend to all who celebrate it. And...here we go!

1. Family is composed of father, mother and own kid/s (or adopted). And with that, I can tell I do not have my own family yet but I do not regret. One day, I can have it, maybe yes or maybe no = only heaven knows.

2. He is walking back and forth.

3. I love a long brunette braided hair.

4. Oxtail with rice and beans and corn muffins with greens, makes a good meal.

5. I've got the loving and caring husband and I am thankful to God for that.

6. She shouted: wth!!!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to just go with the flow where my thoughts would lead me to, tomorrow my plans include cleaning and watch shows especially the 9:30-10:30 pm show at channel 20 (this is for a note too *wink), and Sunday, I want to go to church and make the rice muffins (puto), hopefully it will be accomplished!

Happy Friday all!

Soccer Mom Again This Fall

(Thanks to Olga Quinn)

Like most American families fall means going back to school and spending evenings and weekends at fall sporting events. It is our job as parents to be supportive and make sure our kids get to their sporting events. As moms, we spend so much of our day driving our school aged children to and from sporting events and cheering them on from the sidelines that it has actually warranted the well known phrase "soccer mom."

It is fall and yes, as many before me, I am now a soccer mom. We finish our preplanned dinner in a hurry, get everything lined up for the next day, and hustle my kids to the car as I stop and set the security alarm and adt sign. This is an all to familiar scene for the American family. We cheer from the sidelines and comfort when a game is lost. Many of us, volunteer to help the coach, bring snacks, organize get togethers, whatever it takes to make sure our kids are well adjusted and happy. As fall approaches once again, I will take a little time and stop to cherish the memories of being a soccer mom.

My FFI (Friday Fill-Ins) #51

It is Friday once again, or at least in my place of the world. Okay, I live in California so expect that it is just Friday here whereas in other part of the world is already Saturday. So happy Friday here and happy Saturday there! ;-)

Time for a fun Friday filling-ins. And...here we go!

1. Music keeps me alive. I so love music a lot.

2. Checking my email is what I like first thing in the morning.

3. The first thing I said this morning was: okay, life is great (though I have a heavy head, well to attract optimism)!

4. Nothing yet but will plan to go grocery shop and chicken or pork adobo; it's what's for dinner tonight.

5. It's all been three years I was not able to go swimming at beach, wow.. whatta years!

6. Just what I did but after this will fix something to eat or fix myself to go to store for groceries is what I feel like doing right now.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to finish something here, bloghop, just thinking but doing nothing, tomorrow my plans include folding the clothes straightened in our living room waiting for me (LOL) and Sunday, I want to go to church and watch any episodes!

That's my thoughts, what's yours?

Beads, Beader, Beading

When we say beads that pertain or describe things. A beader on the other hand is a person doing it, while beading describes an action. Ooh I can still remember how our English teacher explains such stuffs like that. Don't you miss it ex-students? For sure you do. Though being married doesn't mean stop schooling but it really is different from having no obligation. Aright, that is about it. For many homemaker like me (specially those are moms already) are into beading or is commonly called "crafting" or "jewelry-making" and of course it uses Beading Tools. It doesn't have to be expensive but more on costume jewelry-making and admire them. One day, perhaps that could also be my hobby since I love collecting costume-jewelries. Before, I often wonder where they get their tools or accessories for making it. Now I have some knowledge. Thanks to beadaholique (dot) com for my first store find. For sure there are many out there but for my personal record, thanks to this. So then, have a great homemaking their homemakers! Have a great day and enjoy (as always despite of all the stress or many works *wink* -- but of course it is sweet behind those sweats because it is for our family)!

Hot Cars, Hyperthermia-Summer Safety Tips for Kids

(Guest written by our friend Donovan Stokes)

It's a shame that every year 30-40 kids die from heat stroke when they are left in a vehicle while the driver runs in somewhere on a short errand or when the driver just plain forgets they're there.. Temperatures even on 70 degree days quickly become life threatening as the rays from the sun come in and get trapped. It's the greenhouse effect. Over fifty percent of children who die from hyperthermia after being left in a vehicle are less than 3 years old and have been forgotten by caregivers. About thirty percent are children who get in vehicles to play.

There is no excuse for leaving children alone in any vehicle to run errands! Parents should know better. There are summer safety tips for kids that should be followed to make sure the child isn't forgotten in the back seat. Putting a briefcase or pocketbook in the back seat so you'll have to get back there will be a reminder that there is an infant or toddler there. Maybe one day car manufacturers will develop a special safety alarm to alert drivers when a child is left in a car seat.

Another way kids die in hot cars is when people leave the vehicle unlocked and the child climbs in to play. Car doors should be kept locked and keys out of children's reach. You should also look into getting an adt securityalarm system for when you child is home alone.

My FFI #49

Friday Fill-Ins as meant FFI is here again. ;-) Cannot wait for weekends huh? Seems like. :) It is Thursday here in my side but feels like Friday because of this meme and the blogosphere world aside from DH last day is today then will come to work for first weekday, Monday. That is cool though the scorching heat of the sun is still bringing up the hotness (more or less 103 degrees Fahrenheit) beginning the day before yesterday and according to the forecast this will be up to this weekend and next week will be back to normal hotness (do not know though on the coming days). Whatever! ;) For now, let us have the fun of filling-in our weekend plan.

And...here we go!

1. This is what life does. It lets you roll upward and downward, just hold on to what you want you love to.

2. How do you appreciate the moment?

3. Upon reflection of your own shadow, just leave those bad momentous behind to enjoy the freedom of happiness.

4. I have not been to the beach for quite a long time.

5. Later, you wake up in a good mood, hopefully.

6. I want to swim like a dolphin to the far and boundless sea.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to just hanging around here in my PC, doing blog hop and all that stuffs, tomorrow my plans include doing laundry bright colored clothes (done the whites two days ago) and Sunday, I want to go to church and probably will go to farmer's market to buy watermelon (H20melon helps me fighting the hotness of my surroundings)!

Happy weekend everyone! Enjoy and have an extra care as always. :) ~hugs&kisses~

A Mattress Plan, Etc

I have been in this apartment for three years already and so far so good. There is nothing a big problem with regards to the property. It is not cheap and also not that expensive. We have benefit of other people, gardener and cleaner which maintains the complex appearance and the unit we live in is included (of course *wink*). Our apartment neighbors are treating us well. The shopping centers, post office, financial offices, hospitals, clinics, school are just two or few blocks away. There is just a need for me and my DH to transfer to other complex which will be close to his workplace and just the same with what the benefit we enjoy in here. With that, we also need to have our mattress replacement, couch and some household stuffs which need to replenish. For now, there is something important we hold onto. In due time we can then transfer with all our smiles and some new stuffs. I now currently have a big grin with excitement for that time. :)

"I Love You" , What Is It?

Yep, how do you define it? Can you define it by your own words?

I got stuck with this word (I love you) when I was in high school when our teacher for a said subject just suddenly threw a question on us, her students, questioned if we could define love on our own words. Apparently, I didn't knew.. haha.. Yep, I can define it when looking at any quotes presented by famous or infamous ones but, can you? Alright, for some reason you can. Yes, you can. It is because you are already matured to what it is about. You already felt after it was being talked and presented unto you. That is why studying as to listening and being attentive as a passive is important. Ooh well, love.
Love for me is describe as to different kind and variety like from parents which is called parental love, fatherly love (paternal love), motherly love (maternal love), to your friends (friendly love), to your brother (brotherly love), sister (sisterly love), to your special someone to which we commonly describe it as just our love ;-), and what else? Yeah, there are many different kinds of love as again, to different variety of people. Tapping it up, it is just meant as giving one's heart to another person -- not literally, that is.

There are also many ways to express our love. Many reasons to celebrate it. Many occasions in a year we celebrate to show our love to one another. Oops, isn't it valentines day done? Yep that is just one of the worldwide known event though it is not declared as a legal holiday but is just important to the ones who celebrates and just felt in their heart, nothing fancy or some just for a thought about it, it does count. And so then, mother's day, your birthday, or any commemoration just yet done, and what comes next? Father's Day! Yes, Father's Day is coming up which is every 3rd Sunday of June. What will be your gift to your dad? Would you even just say "I Love You" ?

Anyway, since Father's Day is just one of the many occasions we celebrate love in our heart, let me just say "Happy Father's Day to all fathers" and to the ones celebrating! You guys rock {especially to the responsible ones ;-)} ! Your child/children is lucky to have you! For sure, he/she/they will say "I LOVE YOU" . Have a great day! ~hugs&kisses~

ABC Wednesday: S

S is for.....
SISTER Quote/Poem

"What is a Sister" is what the topic is.. Ha! Isn't it that still S? ;-) Okay, that's an "S" still, right? Whatever... ;-)

First fold, still a sister's quote/poem --- its first paragraph ...:)

Above fold is the middle part or the last paragraph. :) You can enlarge images should you like to view it larger through clicking it.

I don't have so much to say except that my sister and I bonds better than before. It seems that she's getting matured (in mind) already and knows how to appreciate things and thoughts. I just wish she/they will be stay (if not, better) as what our bonds currently. I love her dearly though we are just half-sisters. I have four half-sisters and the one who sent me that card (she also sent me the other year) is the eldest legitimate child of my father who is next to me. For me, I don't care if we are just half because I love her/them dearly and we agree most of the times (currently) and I just like it because they already appreciates. :) It's her/their loss if not, right? :) As long as I do/did what I can for them, then there's nothing wrong with that, in fact she/they must be grateful. Again, I love them dearly and I can feel the same feelings too.. God is great!
So then, have a great Wednesday! Smile for me and for all of us... ;-)

Pigging-Out, One of Guilty Pleasures

Myself, is one of those folks who is voracious of eating. It is one of my source of comfort. I know it is not that good when having some low moment and just content myself on eating what I wanted to eat (actually more than enough) ;-). Yep, pigging-out is one of my guilty pleasures. I am trying-hard to control myself from getting that low moment or else the more I have it, the more I am imagining myself to have that clinicallix. I am a bit of astonished because on my younger years or when I was unmarried then, I was not like this --- pigging-out in times of low moment. My friends are also like this, they are also full of comfort when they more than full. Ha! The joy of eating foods... oops not only women, but men does!

Letters That I'll Never Send: Dear Movie Director

Dear Movie Director,

Thank you for directing a lot of movies that make me feel that its like real (excluding real stories). I love it when you direct science fictions especially when its about aliens and cool stuffs. It broadens my horizon and makes me think "what ifs".. hahah! Thank you for that. When boredom strikes, you are there to comfort us. Though you make money out of it and it makes us spend when we go to movie theaters or even if we just watch it in the house, it spends us electricity, DVD tape and stuffs like that in order to view it, yet that's what money are made of. ;-) As long as we are happy watching the movie/s you directed, then that's all that counts. Nothing beats enjoyment. You just deserve what you got because of your hard work and smartness. Many folks also enjoy different movie genres of different season or different mood. You guys come to a time that peeps like to spend its time more watching your pieces of work. May you continue to do great movies that make us laugh, cry, fright, dream, and many others especially its because it inspire us. You did a great job! Kudos and continue doing great ones... So long... :)

Comfort Room Septic Tank Problem?

Anywhere you go, whatever place you are, there comes a time in a day that you need a comfort room --- to have a comfort whenever you have "bodily errand/s". With that a toilet is a must. When we have a toilet or perhaps an aquarium or whatever that comes with a septic tank, that also means that we are aware that there comes a time that it needs a maintenance, thus, a septic tank cleaner should have to possess a desirable job. Talking about it, it should have to coincide with what is affordable yet provides great service of whatever stuff is it or else, you could shell a big amount of bucks from your pocket. Yep, quality comes first especially when it comes to a need of our place -- our household, our workplace, stores, restaurants, and the like, agree? ;-) I hope you got a great one for that maintenance. Have fun! :)

Wristech Blood Pressure Monitor

How do you like to try "hi-tech" stuff to monitor your health? Are you in favor of just use the classic one? You are one of those old school folks which just uses an old school or classic stuffs?

Mind you my husband admit and told me that he is one of those old school folks. Well, it is not necessary that point to old people, there are also young folks who just prefer to use classic and traditional stuffs. Yep, classic stuffs doesn't only apply to old folks just a name and again, young folks too uses it.

One year plus ago, DH has this wristech blood pressure monitor and am the one who get his blood pressure in the house. Yes, it is a high-tech one and he loves it. It is pretty great because it just uses two triple A batteries (2 AAA) and when you study diligently how to use then you are good to go, and that is what I did. Sometimes just get his diastolic and systolic pressures as well as pulse for heart beat. Then it is your choice if you want to put in its memory or just put the result in a paper. It get accurate results just like a traditional one. It is pretty easy and comfy when I get used to it.

A Household Need a Box Cutter

I doubt if you believe? But as to myself, I do believe that our (DH and I) need it. It is not that we always receive and ship boxes but when it calls its time like to open a box or just simply we will ship a box that I (or we) can do it manually by simply cutting our stashed box in our house, then that way box cutter is needed, don't you? Well, I guess it is not that "a-must" but simply it is great to have it so I (or we) would not have to use a knife or something like that to cut a box. Yeah, my household does need a box cutter but unfortunately, we do not have it right now. I hope somebody could give as a gift. Aww.. heheheh.. just kidding aside but seriously. ;-) :D. But who wouldn't want to have it, anyway, if it is a gift, right? Okay, enough for like a daydreaming but am serious I would to get it as I have enough money or let my DH buy for one. I (or DH&I) really need it.

Backing-Up Our Files

Yep, we have our personal computer but we did not know that one day (especially if you are not that savvy enough about hi-technology), it will just crashed and loss all our important files, photos, documents, downloaded music and all that important stuff that we store in our computer. Oftentimes, we just neglect it and many suffer such incident after wards. It is because such person did not back-up his/her important files. Such individual have even several choices where will he/she put it for a back -up. Be it in CD, DVD, floppy disk, external hard drive and in online backup. Yes, backing-up through online back-up. This is also good in times of circumstances that cannot be avoided like flood, fire, storm, lightning and all that natural calamities that it is not impossible to happen in our home (God forbid!). When you have a trusted and you are also a loyal to an online company, it is not impossible to have a discount and such. So it is up to you where will you put your files on your computer folks if you are concern of loosing it, have a back-up. I could say backing-up our important files, is a must especially if you have a business (or just personal important files). If not, it is expected you will be going to cost quiet a big bucks of getting your important files back.
